Manchester United news and transfer roundup: Perisic, Neymar and more
Manchester United travel to Arsenal tomorrow night searching for a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup – a competition which arguably represents their best chance of silverware under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The caretaker manager will be looking to make it eight straight wins to kick off his tenure and following up one big win in north London to follow up the victory over Tottenham earlier this month would be another major shot in the arm for his new regime.
The big game looming on the horizon appears to have slowed the news cycle around Old Trafford, but Solskjaer has been speaking to the press ahead of the game and there are also some transfer stories too…
Perisic finally on the cards?
Ivan Perisic was a major target for United under Jose Mourinho and Sport Mediaset report that he is nearing the end of his spell with Inter Milan and wants to move on.
In terms of outgoings, Nicky Butt has told the Daily Mirror that Solskjaer has prevented loan deals for three young players as he seeks to integrate them into the first team.
Varied injury update
The Manchester Evening News report that Solskjaer has told the press that Marcos Rojo and Marouane Fellaini are ruled out of the Arsenal match, while Chris Smalling is back in training.
