Manchester United will be looking to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat against Valencia when they travel to Anfield on Sunday to face table-toppers Liverpool.

De Gea to stay?

David de Gea’s contract situation has been rumbling on for a while now, but the Sun report that the Spaniard is set to double his money by signing a new £400,000 a week deal at Old Trafford.
The Spaniard would be committing his future to a club that Jose Mourinho admits is ‘far’ from possessing a side in his own image.

One player who is apparently less keen to sign a new deal is Anthony Martial, who has told United he will only extend his stay if Mourinho is sacked, according to Italian outlet Corrierre Dello Sport, via the Express.

Elsewhere, the
Evening Standard report that United are willing to make Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly the most expensive defender in world football, with a £100m bid; although any fans who saw the 27-year-old’s poor attempt to stop Mo Salah scoring on Tuesday night may be wondering why.
Ivan Perisic has been a long-term target for United and Italian newspaper La Repubblica, via TeamTalk, report that he is becoming increasingly unsettled at Inter Milan.
the Times report that club captain Antonio Valencia is considering leaving the club after doubting he can win over Mourinho.
