Manchester United are already through to the knockout rounds of the Champions League, meaning that tonight’s match with Valencia offers Jose Mourinho an opportunity to rotate his side.
Ahead of the final match of the group stage, we’ve put together all of the day’s news so you don’t miss anything ahead of the game…
Tavernier interest

Middlesbrough starlet Marcus Tavernier is something of a surprise name of interest to United, according to the Daily Mail.
Meanwhile, Brazilian outlet UOL
(via Sport Witness) report that Mourinho has made a personal call to his former club Porto to learn more about central defender Éder Militão, with designs on a January move.
One man who won’t be coming to Old Trafford is Roma director Monchi, who was eyed up with a view to improving United’s fortunes in the transfer market; he has said he wants to stay in Italy.

Bailly’s future

There are two updates on Eric Bailly’s future from the Daily Mirror. They report that Mourinho has told the Ivorian to be patient and that regular football will come.
But with the same paper reporting that Arsenal are sniffing around as they seek to replace Rob Holding, Bailly’s head may well be turned.
Juventus are again circling around Paul Pogba, as per the Daily Mail, who may well be buoyed by the same outlet reporting
that Mourinho never wanted the Frenchman at the club anyway, according to the Portuguese’s former spokesman Eladio Parames.
It is fairly bleak at United right now, but perhaps the next generation will be brighter as Shola Shoretire has become the youngest player ever to play an official game for the club, at just 14 years, ten months and ten days old.
