Manchester United, despite the purchase of Rasmus Hojlund, still need a striker to support the big summer signing.
The Danish forward is just 20 years old and it’s such a tall order to put all the pressure on him to be scoring week in and week out.
We do have Anthony Martial, but given his track record with injuries, he’s just never a reliable option and is undeserving of a contract renewal at the end of the season.
This leaves a slot for a competent striker, but someone who may not necessarily mind being a rotational forward. We think we’ve found the ideal candidate.

Serhou Guirassy could be United’s striking answer
There is no hotter striker in world football right now than Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy.
He simply cannot stop scoring goals. 13 in 7 to be exact, which is a ludicrous record that sits him top of the Bundesliga charts, lightyears ahead of former Manchester United target Harry Kane at Bayern Munich.
Guirassy’s start has actually been so good – that he has even broken the record for most goals scored at this stage of the season, a record dating back to the Bundesliga’s origins 60 years ago.
He wouldn’t mind the rotation
At 27 years old Guirassy is yet to be at a ‘big club’, which leads us to suggest that he won’t mind potentially the element of rotation at Manchester United.
Not that the Red Devils wouldn’t be without competition for his signature. His fine form has caught the eye of numerous Premier League clubs.
It remains unclear as to whether Stuttgart would even be keen on a January sale, however – it may be wise to wait for United if they were to pull the trigger.

A release clause gets triggered in the summer…
Serhou Guirassy reportedly has a €20 million (£17.2m) release clause for next summer, according to Bild.
This suggests it could be wise to avoid negotiation in January, as Stuttgart will definitely be asking for a much higher price.
Saying that… could this be too late for United? Depending on how well Hojlund does over the coming months will be a factor as to whether Ten Hag goes for a striker in January.
If he were to do so, at this moment in time – Guirassy would definitely be one of our top candidates.
