Manchester United’s transfer move for Adrien Rabiot is now ‘stalling’ says Fabrizio Romano.
A deal has been in place for Rabiot since early last week, with The Times reporting a £19 million fee was agreed with Juventus which is £15 million plus £4 million in add-ons.
United’s football director John Murtough flew to Italy last week to discuss personal terms over the move. No deal has yet been concluded.

United’s move for Adrien Rabiot is now ‘stalling’ with no agreement in place.
Gianluca di Marzio also reports negotiations have slowed down with Rabiot also ‘unconvinced’ over a move.
Rabiot was due to become Manchester United’s fourth summer signing, following Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Lisandro Martinez.
The last of these deals was struck almost one month ago, with Martinez’s move announced on July 17.
United have to get the balance right, between not paying over the odds and giving Rabiot wages which are too high, while strengthening the team.
At this late stage of the transfer window, United’s hand is weak, and the club are backed into a corner, not helped by pressure created from a poor start to the season with two defeats.
The Rabiot deal is not a particularly exciting one, but the team does need midfield recruits. United have to make a decision quickly, and be ready to switch to alternatives, having already seemingly missed out on top target Frenkie de Jong.
