Manchester United could secure £30 million for the services of back-up goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Nottingham Forest are keen on a summer move for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, report The MEN.

The report states Henderson has been informed of Forest’s desire to sign him permanently, with the interested club willing to pay £30 million for his services.

Henderson has spent the last season on loan at Forest, although his campaign was cut short by injury.

Dean Henderson exit could kick off Manchester United’s summer

Manchester United should be snapping Nottingham Forest’s hand off if a £30 million offer is presented.

This could also be vital in the context of Manchester United’s summer, with spending plans held up by takeover delays.

If United are able to get this deal over the line early, and push for a Henderson exit, it could help Erik ten Hag’s planned rebuild.

Henderson is not part of Manchester United’s first team plans. He played only three matches last season for the club and has spent the past season out on loan.

Nottingham Forest were prolific in the transfer market last summer, and are expected to be ambitious once again now they have secured their Premier League status.

Last season they had wrapped up a loan move for Henderson by July, and this time around there is a real chance that a permanent switch will also be high up their agenda.

United need to sell this summer to top up transfer funds, and Henderson is one of the players the club need to cash in on.

Selling Henderson could also shave off money required to sign Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa, who has a £65 million release clause.

Henderson would not be required in any case if United signed Costa, and the total spend of this deal could come in at just £35 million Forest come up with the money for their top target.
