Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri is in Spain to undergo a medical with Sevilla.

Hannibal Mejbri is set to leave Manchester United on a loan deal, penning a deal to move to Sevilla for the rest of the season.

He was not on the bench for United against Tottenham, having struggled to establish himself as a regular in Erik ten Hag’s side despite briefly earning some starting opportunities in late September and early October.

Hannibal was not involved for Tunisia in the African Cup of Nations, prioritising sorting out his club future.

Hannibal set to sign with Sevilla

Hannibal is one of the players Sevilla are targeting this month amid a recruitment drive led by former Leeds sporting director Victor Orta.

The Athletic report Sevilla have a provisional agreement with Manchester United for a loan with an option to buy.

The deal will involve a buy-back clause for Manchester United, if the option to buy is taken up. He is travelling to Spain to undergo his medical with the Spanish club.

Fabrizio Romano shared a video of Hannibal arriving in Spain to a warm welcome.

Two Manchester United players heading to Sevilla

Hannibal will be joined by Mateo Mejia, who will sign on a permanent basis with the Spanish club, AS report.

Mejia will leave Manchester United’s under-21 side and go into Sevilla’s equivalent squad, with a view to first team promotion.

United signed Mejia from Real Zaragoza in 2020, but he struggled with injuries for the first two-and-a-half years of his spell.

Hannibal signed for United in 2019 from AS Monaco. He has gone onto make 13 first team appearances for the Red Devils.
