Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag undertakes his fourth day of pre-season training
Manchester United manger Erik ten Hag has undertaken his fourth day of pre-season training with the club’s current group of first team players.
After taking his first session with the Reds on Monday, the former Ajax manager will be hoping to see improvements and progression within the current group on a daily basis.
With Mitchell van der Gaag and familiar Reds face Steve McClaren on hand to assist Ten Hag – the United players have likely been put through their paces during the early days of pre-season.

According to the club’s official website, the 52-year-old has been arriving at Carrington early and leaving the training ground late as he begins his tenure in meticulous fashion.
With several of United’s international stars set to return on a staggered basis from next week, Ten Hag is currently working with a group that consists of several senior players like David de Gea, Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Donny van de Beek, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.
The group also comprises of a mix of talented academy stars such as Alvaro Fernandez, Charlie Savage, Alejandro Garnacho, Shola Shoretire, Will Fish and Zidane Iqbal.
The latter two have signed new long-term contracts with United this week.
With Ten Hag’s focus on building fitness via intense ball work drills, the current crop of players will be getting an idea of the standards the Dutchman craves and demands.
With the former Bayern Munich II coach keen to assess each player on their own merit. The club’s current pre-season group of players have the opportunity to impress the two-time Eredivisie manager nice and early.
And with places in United’s travelling squad for Tour 2022 up for grabs, training sessions are only likely to become more competitive and intense as the Ten Hag era commences.
