Manchester United have made a decision on Omari Forson’s future at the club, according to reports.

Omari Forson’s contract at Manchester United expires this summer, and the club do not want to lose him..

Forson was included in the travelling squad for the clash against Danish side FC Copenhagen in the Champions League earlier this month.

The winger has performed well this season for the side’s under-21 side, following up a promising pre-season.

United’s decision

According to a report from the Manchester Evening News, Omari Forson will put pen to paper on his new contract soon in what will be a big boost for the Red Devils.

Negotiations weren’t a stumbling block, despite rumours of the contrary according to the report and Forson will now extend his stay at the club.

It had been stated by The Mirror that clubs in Europe had already shown an interest in signing Forson, with his contract ending in the summer of 2024.

There was also thought to be Premier League interest in the exciting winger, who Erik ten Hag took a liking to last summer, selecting him in six of eight pre-season games.

Forson has bright future

The winger started at Tottenham Hotspur before the Red Devils snapped him up back in 2019 as part of their recruitment drive at academy level.

Forson can play in any of the front three attacking positions and has been named on the bench for multiple Champions League games this season.

All of the talk has been about Kobbie Mainoo, who has yet to feature for the Red Devils this season but deserves his chance soon, but Forson is certainly holding his own at academy level.

The winger has seven goals and two assists at academy level this season and he looks to be the next breakthrough star who may have a future at the club.

A loan is possible in January, which could further advance his prospects of breaking through.
