Manchester United youngster Dishon Bernard is hitting the gym to prepare for the upcoming season.
Bernard, 21, spent the past season on loan at Hull City in the Championship, making a successful jump from League Two side Salford City.
Now he is getting ready for a pivotal summer, which could re-define his future, one way or another.
Bernard hits the gym
Dishon Bernard is following teammate Anthony Elanga in making an early start on his fitness work. He was also pictured in the gym, 24 hours after the 2021/22 season finished.
Bernard played 28 games for Hull, of which 26 were starts, although the majority of these came in the first half of the campaign.
He lost his place as a regular after a managerial change, which at least means he is fairly fresh, as opposed to burned out after a long season.
Bernard’s future is unclear, and his first priority is going to be trying to impress new manager Erik ten Hag.

Breaking into United’s set up is a big ask, even though Ten Hag has shown a real willingness to work with young players at Ajax.
Bernard could be sent on loan to a Premier League side as another test for him, if there is interest, while permanent offers will also be considered.
United’s transfer pot is not limitless, and if United need to raise funds, selling Bernard could be useful even if it just adds another £5 million or so.
Whether at United, or getting to grips with a new club, Bernard has to make an instant early impression next season, and by hitting the gym early, he is looking to give himself the best possible chance of success, whichever direction his future lies in.
