Manchester United have already agreed personal terms with Brazilian forward Antony, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Red Devils failed with with a new £67.6 million bid for for the Ajax starlet last week, The Athletic reported.

But Goal Brasil reported over the weekend that Erik ten Hag’s side are set to submit an improved bid to try and sign the talented South American.

However, that new bid is yet to be submitted according to Romano.

After signing Casemiro from Real Madrid, Manchester United’s attentions look to be fixated on landing fellow Brazilian Antony.

With nine days of the summer transfer window remaining, Ten Hag will be hoping that the Manchester United hierarchy can reunite him with the former Sau Paulo starlet.

The 22-year-old has been the Dutchman’s priority forward target throughout the window.

The nine-time Brazil international hadn’t really pushed for a move, but in recent days, Ajax’s number 11 has made it clear that he wants to link up with the man who brought him to Amsterdam two years ago.

Antony wasn’t part of Ajax’s matchday squad that beat Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday as speculation surrounding his future continues to mount.

Ajax could be planning for life without the South American given they have reportedly earmarked re-signing Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech as his potential replacement, according to 90min.

Antony has refused to publicly commit his future to the reigning Eredivisie champions.

He was asked if he could give fans of the Dutch giants any guarantees that he will still be in Amsterdam when the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

In an interview with De Telegraaf he answered: “No, to be perfectly honest, I can’t.

“What I can say is that I want to come to the right decision with my family, business partners and Ajax, which is good for everyone.

“In the end, God determines my future.”

With personal terms already agreed, according to Romano, Manchester United just need to strike an agreement with Ajax and then Ten Hag’s fifth summer signing could be sealed.
