Manchester United fans have voted Christian Eriksen as man of the match versus Sheriff Tiraspol.
The Dane provided the assist for Jadon Sancho’s opening goal in a comfortable 2-0 victory.
Erik ten Hag told the club website: “We got the job done, and we know it is always difficult to play here.
“We were really direct but I also feel like we controlled the game not from the first minute but after 10 minutes we found our foot in the game and managed to create some spaces.”

Man of the match v Sheriff Tiraspol
Christian Eriksen won a narrow man of the match vote from supporters via the club website.
- Christian Eriksen: 32 per cent
- Jadon Sancho: 25 per cent
- Cristiano Ronaldo: 18 per cent
- Nine players between one and seven per cent
Eriksen has started every game for Manchester United so far this season, which shows how highly manager Erik ten Hag regards him.
The midfielder was a free agent signing after a short-stint at Brentford last season and he has had a huge impact in United’s midfield.
He is now off on international duty with Denmark where he will take on Croatia and France in the UEFA Nations League.
United will want him back in top condition for the next Premier League game, away at Manchester City.
