Manchester United fans defend Rashford for his Sancho message

Taking to social media on Saturday morning, some United fans were adamant in their defence of Rashford.

One fan wrote: “How have people found such a big issue of Rashford saying that he is happy to see Sancho – his friend, his club and England teammate – back on the pitch?”

A second scolded the fanbase for some who slammed the winger: “I hope Rashford leaves tbh. He deserves better than this toxic fanbase who hate on him for breathing”.

A third questioned how anyone could be fuming at Rashford: “Ten Hag himself said good luck to Sancho. Why isn’t Rashford allowed to?”

On the other hand, some Manchester United fans are fuming

On Rashford’s message to Sancho, United fans were divided as to what they thought of his support and some fans were fuming.

One slammed the Englishman’s lack of self-awareness: “Either Rashford’s PR team aren’t very good or he wants a way out with that Sancho comment. The lack of self-awareness is frightening. Even if he was playing like he did last season he’d be getting abuse but the fact he’s evidently downed tools and then done that is telling”.

Another explained that Rashford knew what he was doing: “When you consider that Sancho disrespected the club and the manager this was a bad move by Rashford who knew exactly what he was doing.”

While a third offered a damning review of the situation: “I’m convinced Rashford is also the snake in the dressing room. Tough one for me because I’ve always backed the lad. This season’s performances and attitude have been awful. The next one who needs selling imo. Doubt any club will touch him with his wages and awful form.”
