The European Super League could still be going ahead, following the judgement by the European Court of Justice given today.
It appeared the European Super League was a thing of the past, but after EU’s top court rules FIFA and UEFA acted unlawfully in blocking the breakaway of the competition – it could very well be back on.
Manchester United have made their stance firm, with the club issuing a statement earlier today with their intentions on the new proposals.
But what do Manchester United fans think?

Manchester United fans react to decision for Super League
Manchester United have said that they are still against the decision for the European Super League. United fans reacted positively to this:
A first says: ‘So you’re not joining right… that’s why I love my team.’
Another chimes in: ‘Class response from Man Utd.’
‘Our first good club statement in a while,’ another jokes.
‘Nipped in the bud fairly quickly. Sensible for once’ and ‘They have finally dropped a good club statement,’ two more add.
A final praised the Red Devils: ‘Well done United, Haven’t been getting much right recently but first club I’ve seen put out a statement.’
Manchester United were the first Premier League club to issue a statement on the matter. They do deserve credit for how swiftly they dealt with things.
Ultimately, fans are all saying the same thing…
Manchester United fans all seem to be saying the same thing following the club’s statement, and that’s that the Super League can simply not go ahead without the biggest team in the world.
A first says: ‘How are they going to have a Super League without arguably the biggest club in the world.’
Another adds: ‘The biggest club in the world not being involved, no point.’
‘Then it’s over. The biggest club in the world don’t wanna be part of it so there’s no point in it,’ says a third.
A final confirmation, with the nail in the coffin: ‘Superleague is dead. The biggest football club in the world has said so.’
A Super League without Manchester United wouldn’t be right. We hope, as do all fans, that all Premier League clubs follow suit.
