Manchester United have been active in the transfer window with three signings complete already.
Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund have all joined. They are not expected to be the only ones.
Over the past week Manchester United have been busy negotiating player sales. Fred, Harry Maguire, Matej Kovar and Donny van de Beek are all expected to leave. There could be more too.
These exits provide funds, salary space, and squad space for Manchester United to make new signings. There could be four in total.

Possible Signing #1: midfielder
An extra midfielder is a near certainty. Fred and Donny van de Beek leaving could even be followed by Scott McTominay, and rising star Kobbie Mainoo is out injured.
Sofyan Amrabat is the clear frontrunner. Fabrizio Romano reports the Moroccan has already ‘said yes’ to Manchester United and is just awaiting the clubs to agree a fee.
Possible Signing #2: centre-back
Manchester United will sign a centre-back to replace Harry Maguire. It is just a question of who comes in. There are several options.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo and Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard are the two most likely options, Fabrizio Romano reports.
The Mail had linked Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi and The MEN touted Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba.
Another alternative is to sign free agent Jonny Evans, who has been training with the team over the past month.
Possible Signing #3: striker
Manchester United are still light up front. Rasmus Hojlund has arrived with an injury, and would need help in attack in any case. Anthony Martial is not reliable enough to provide it.
We are expecting United to try and strike a late deal for a striker, once a move for a defender and midfielder is complete.
Possible Signing #4: goalkeeper
Erik ten Hag likes to have three goalkeepers, and Tom Heaton’s injury has left United short. Dean Henderson was expected to leave, although United could now delay this until the end of the month.
Henderson is still not fully fit, leaving United really short of back-up to Andre Onana. It is likely the club look to sign more cover.
The Mail has linked United with a £5 million move for Fenerbahce stopper Atlay Bayindir, however, a move for Rangers stopper Robbie McCrorie, reported by The National at just £1 million, looks more likely.
