Lisandro Martinez‘s squad number at Manchester United has been revealed. United made the announcement via the club website.
Martinez will wear the vacant number 6 shirt at Manchester United.

The number six shirt was worn most recently by Paul Pogba, who was released at the end of June.
Prior to this the shirt was assigned to centre-backs Jonny Evans, Wes Brown, Jaap Stam, Gary Pallister and Laurent Blanc.
Rio Ferdinand also wore six in his first season at the club in 2002/03 before shifting to number 5.
Martinez wore number 21 at Ajax, a shirt which is currently vacant. This is Frenkie de Jong’s number at Barcelona.
He wore the number 6 shirt at previous club, Defensa y Justicia in Argentina.
Fellow new signing Tyrell Malacia has taken the number 12 shirt. Christian Eriksen’s shirt number is yet to be announced, although will be imminently.
Speaking to the club website this week, Martinez said: “It’s an honour to join this great football club. I’ve worked so hard to get to this moment and, now that I’m here, I’m going to push myself even further.
“I’ve been lucky enough to be part of successful teams in my career and that’s what I want to continue at Manchester United.”
