Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag attended the UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum this week alongside some familiar faces.
At the event in Nyon, Switzerland, the new club competition format for 2024-27, the behaviour of players and showing respect were among the topics discussed.
The last two topics certainly resonate with the Dutchman right now considering the circus he and Manchester United are having to deal with revolving Cristiano Ronaldo.

As well as claiming he felt he had been betrayed by the Red Devils in an interview with Piers Morgan, United’s number seven also stated that he doesn’t respect Ten Hag because he feels the 52-year-old doesn’t respect him.
Being among other top coaches at a forum may have been a weclomed distraction for United’s boss following the aftermath of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner finally delivering his version of the truth after failing to secure a summer move to a Champions League club.
After his comments about Ten Hag, ESPN report that the Dutchman has told the Manchester United hierarchy that the former Juventus marksman should not play for the twenty-time league champions again.

In addition to the former Ajax manager, Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid), Luciano Spalletti (Napoli), Paulo Fonseca (LOSC Lille), Christophe Galtier (Paris Saint-Germain), Oliver Glasner (Eintracht Frankfurt), David Moyes (West Ham United FC), Roger Schmidt (Benfica), Rafael Benítez and Thomas Tuchel were also present at the forum.
Ten Hag explained what he took away from the meeting via VI: “We met in a more relaxed atmosphere to talk about the game, coaching, managing and training, and to learn from each other. So, it’s really good
“It’s also good to meet UEFA, give opinions and tell us what’s on our minds.
“It’s about making the game better.”
