Manchester City have the exact player that United are crying out for right now in Jeremy Doku. He was fantastic in yesterday’s fixture.

Manchester United just haven’t quite clicked so far this season. Amid a sea of troubling off-pitch activity, it’s not been much better on it – with two wins and three losses so far in the Premier League this season.

Even the matches we did win – weren’t necessarily convincing. The opening fixture against Wolves was particularly lacklustre.

United just seem to have something missing. A lot of that bodes in attack with the Red Devils – not being clinical in front of goal.

United have no risk-takers

Something we’ve noticed thus far this season which we think is a problem is that the football we’re playing is far too one-dimensional.

The fluidity in attack just isn’t there and we think that’s down to no players wanting to take risks.

We have so many players with immense dribbling capabilities. Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes to name a few – but no one seems to want to take a man on.

Particularly against Brighton, the only time we looked dangerous was when we were playing quick, attacking football and that only really lasted ten minutes!

In stark contrast, Manchester City came from 1-0 down against West Ham United – with one of their new summer acquisitions doing the business.

Jeremy Doku would’ve been great at Old Trafford

Yep, were gutted that City managed to get their hands on Doku.

The Belgian was simply electric against the Hammers. He scored City’s first and had an all-round fantastic game, terrorising Sofiane Coufal the West Ham full-back.

He’s a player who can shift onto either foot but is most comfortable cutting in on his right from the left. Rashford is usually great at this – but something just hasn’t clicked yet.

Doku, at just 21, has already hit the ground running for the Cityzen and it’s bonkers to think they likely have another one of the league’s future best wingers already in their ranks after losing Riyad Mahrez in the summer.

He would’ve provided blistering speed, trickery, dynamism and so much more to United’s front line. Were gutted he’s on the blue side of Manchester.
