Manchester United’s first 3pm kick-off in 2026 comes in the tail end of their Premier League season, as Michael Carrick’s men will travel to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland.

Michael Carrick is preparing for the seven remaining Premier League matches in the 2025-26 campaign at Old Trafford amid the Red Devils’ top-four ambitions.

Manchester United are third in the Premier League table and the Red Devils’ first match in the post-March international break will be against Leeds United at home.

Following Man Utd’s encounter with Leeds United on 13th April, Carrick’s men will have the likes of Sunderland, Liverpool and Chelsea in their final six fixtures.

Man Utd’s Premier League clash with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light is a 3pm kick-off in May 2026

Sunderland are one of the three final Premier League matches for the Red Devils before the end of the 2025-26 campaign under Michael Carrick at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils’ visit to the Stadium of Light is scheduled for Saturday 9th May, with Manchester United’s official website confirming a 3pm kick-off time in the UK.

Man Utd have only had three Premier League matches slotted into the 3pm fixture slot on Saturdays over the course of the 2025-26 season at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils’ last 3pm kick-off in the Premier League came in November 2025, with Nottingham Forest and Man Utd playing out a 2-2 draw at City Ground.

Man Utd are still waiting for time on only one Premier League fixture in Michael Carrick’s seven-match run-in

Outside of United’s 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest, the other two 3pm kick-offs this season were the 2-0 win over Sunderland and the 3-2 victory over Burnley in 2025.

All but one of Carrick’s final seven Premier League matches have their times locked in for their respective dates amid the final months of the current campaign.

United confirmed that the club are still waiting for a final time for the Red Devils’ Premier League encounter with Forest at Old Trafford on 17th May.

The Red Devils are one Premier League point clear of fourth-place Aston Villa ahead of hosting Leeds United at Old Trafford for their 8pm kick-off on 13th April.
