Manchester United loanee had quite a whirlwind game at Lausanne recently, which will be simultaneously memorable and forgettable for him.
After joining Ineos-owned Lausanne in the summer, Enzo Kana-Biyik took time to get up to speed because injuries thwarted his momentum.
After returning from injury, he started to ramp up his minutes, with their latest fixture against FC Sion bringing his first achievement.
Kana-Biyik scored for Lausanne to mark his first goal for the club, but it surprised everyone when he was taken off at half-time despite not being injured.

Man Utd fans will certainly be keeping a close eye on FC Lausanne and OGC Nice now because both clubs are owned by Ineos.
Ethical ramifications aside, seeing what Man City and Chelsea have done, in particular with Strasbourg in France, the possibilities are endless.
Kana-Biyik is the first Man Utd player to walk that path, so scoring his first goal for the Swiss club would have been special for the teenager.
What wasn’t special was his substitution at half-time, despite him not being injured.
Kana-Biyik said after the game (via Blick), “It’s beautiful, it feels good. I feel a bit liberated. The most important thing was to celebrate with my teammates and the fans.”
His manager, Peter Zeidler, was asked after the game about the reason behind the substitution.
He said, “I feel like I’m answering Enzo. He asked me the same question. He was disappointed and didn’t want to believe it. But now he’s all right, he’s a good person.”
The manager added that his reason was to simply bring on Theo Blair, and had nothing to do with his verdict on the Man Utd loanee.
The way forward for Kana-Biyik
The manager looked eager for the youngster to keep his feet firmly planted on the ground, something Ruben Amorim will appreciate.
The Utd loanee looked eager for more opportunities after the game, and with Lausanne’s fixture list getting busier over the next few weeks, he will get his wish.
He said, “Coming back, starting, and scoring in a derby at La Tuilière, that’s revenge. What’s important is to play, play, play.”
Zeidler added that he is happy to have Kana-Biyik, hoping he’ll build on his maiden goal to help the team even more in the coming games.
Man Utd’s loan manager, Jonny Evans, will be keeping a close eye on the proceedings.
