A key Manchester United first-team talent under Ruben Amorim has admitted that the Red Devils fans “know” the key problem that happened for the club last season.
Manchester United hit an all-time low in the Premier League era during the 2024-25 campaign at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils finishing 15th in the league table.
The Red Devils’ turbulent campaign kicked off under Erik ten Hag’s reign before the former Ajax and United manager was axed from the Premier League club in 2024.
Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was assistant manager to Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford, briefly served as interim United manager after his fellow Dutchman was sacked.
Ruben Amorim left both his native homeland of Portugal and his head coach role at Sporting CP to succeed former United manager Ten Hag in the club’s hot seat.
The 40-year-old Portuguese coach faced no easy challenge at United after his arrival last November, with the club unable to turn around their league form last season.

The Red Devils were unable to end last season with one key redeemable moment, with Manchester United losing 1-0 to Tottenham in the Europa League final in May.
United’s Europa League final defeat to Spurs in Bilbao ended the Red Devils’ hopes of securing Champions League football for the 2025-26 campaign at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils’ poor Premier League standing in the previous campaign also means that Ruben Amorim’s men have no European football at all in the upcoming season.
Leny Yoro has now insisted that the 2025-26 season for United will be a turning point and believes that the Red Devils need to adopt one all-important “mindset.”
“But this season will be different, I hope for us,” he told reporters after the United States leg of the pre-season tour, as per Goal.
“We don’t need to listen to this and just be focused on ourselves. When you play for Manchester United, you need to have the mindset of being the best version of yourself.
“I think what they did last season was a mistake for us. When you’re Manchester United, you cannot be [in] this position.
“The fans know it, everyone knows it. I think we understand this. This season will be different for us.
“It will be like a revenge from last season. We need to do better.”

The Red Devils’ pre-season tour of the US concluded on Sunday with United’s 2-2 draw against Everton in the Premier League Summer Series clash in Atlanta.
United defender Leny Yoro believes that his Red Devils teammates need to remember that their focus is United fans and not the noise surrounding them.
“There are a lot of people [who] want us to fail and we know that,” he explained.
“But there are also a lot of people [who] want us to do it, to do great things. We just focus on the fans, you know.
“We don’t care about what they say outside, about the media. Everyone said b——- about us last year. But I understand because we didn’t do really well.”
Following United’s pre-season encounter against Everton at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Georgia, the Red Devils will now play Fiorentina at Old Trafford on Saturday.
