One Manchester United star has just showcased what he’s doing on his supposed day off, and it’s exactly what he should be doing.

This season has been a frustrating one for the fans to watch, as it surely has also been for both the new Manchester United footballing structure and board to watch.

But Erik ten Hag also has reason to be frustrated with injuries plaguing the entire campaign to date which has definitely impacted his ability to perform how he envisioned his side would this season.

Several players will also have spent his campaign frustrated, none more than Antony who has regressed this season and now finds himself fighting for his Old Trafford career.

Antony showcases his inner Ronaldo

In a fight to save his United career, the 23-year-old has taken to Instagram to showcase just how hard he’s working to improve himself.

Erik ten Hag will surely be taking note as the Brazilian posted on his story photos of himself working out along with a message.

“Day off, but we keep working”, he wrote followed by a fire and flexing emoji. This claim of working out on his day off shows how badly he wants to get better.

To be working so hard on himself and improving even on his day off, Antony’s definitely doing the right thing to give himself the best possible chance of improving.

Antony could yet come good for Manchester United

Since his arrival to the club for £85m in 2022, Antony has been a disappointment, after seeing what he was capable of at Ajax many were excited to see him at the Theatre of Dreams.

But despite always giving 100 per cent and working hard, Antony just hasn’t been able to get it right so far.

With a predictable game, Antony is easily stopped by opposition defenders and his rare moments of magic from last season have disappeared completely.

Ahead of a summer of shake-ups at United, Antony is doing everything he can to find some sort of the talent he was signed for, but he needs to show it on the pitch rather than in the gym.

But there is definitely a player there and if we can reveal that and he starts to perform, he could be an incredible player. Right now, that doesn’t look likely though.
