Manchester United legend Gary Neville and his Sky Sports co-pundit Jamie Carragher rarely see eye to eye, but now the latter has left the former furious.
Gary Neville has been left outraged over a recent claim from Jamie Carragher over the biggest rivalry in the history of the Premier League.
After Sunday’s draw between Liverpool and Manchester City, Jamie Carragher claimed that these two teams are part of the greatest rivalry.
This was one thing the Manchester United legend wasn’t having and called Carragher out for his claim.

Gary Neville left furious with Jamie Carragher
On Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, Neville called out Carragher.
“Carragher’s statement that Liverpool vs Man City is the greatest rivalry is offensive”, Neville explained before he continued to explain why.
“From 98 to 2004 Arsenal won three titles, United won four [Premier League titles]. It was blood, thunder, quality. Everything you would want in a rival.
“In the last six years, Liverpool have won one title. It’s been an absolute demolition. And for Ian Wright to stand there and not pull him up on it is unbelievable.”

While he is biased as he played for one-half of his pick for the biggest rivalry, there isn’t an argument to say Neville isn’t right.
The Liverpool vs City rivalry isn’t even really a rivalry considering how absolutely one-sided it has been for Pep Guardiola’s side.
The late 90s to early 2000s rivalry between the Gunners and United was memorable, and competitive and both sides treated it like a rivalry which we don’t see elsewhere.
There is no argument for Carragher to be right and it’s good that Neville has called him out on it.
