An Erik ten Hag signing has told Manchester United fans that he will “take a lot of risks” and they will see a “different” version of him at Old Trafford.
Manchester United are currently 14th in the Premier League table after a disappointing start to the 2024-25 season under manager Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils played out a 0-0 draw against Aston Villa in their final Premier League match ahead of the October international break.
United have only managed two league wins in their opening seven Premier League matches, with the Red Devils criticised for their run of form and results.

Andre Onana sends Man Utd fans a message
Despite Manchester United’s lacklustre season so far, Andre Onana has been one of the standout performers at Old Trafford this season.
The 28-year-old Cameroonian shot-stopper is leading the race for the Premier League Golden Glove with four clean sheets from seven league matches.
The United No 1 weathered a tough debut season at Old Trafford in the 2023-24 campaign after his stunning move from Inter Milan in 2023.
Andre Onana was placed under the spotlight for his howlers in last season’s Champions League, despite Erik ten Hag keeping faith with the player.
The former Ajax and Inter Milan star’s confidence continued to build last season as the league campaign progressed, with Onana now impressing for United.
“I know the country, I know the league, I know the city,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official account on X, formerly Twitter.
“I will take a lot of risks, like I used to do in the past, before I was here. You guys are going to see a different Andre now.”
Onana already warned of risks
Onana previously made his intentions clear that United fans would see a different side to him in the 2024-25 campaign and he would be ready to take criticism if his “risks” backfired.
“Yes, that’s me, and I think it’s what you’re going to see this season because I will take a lot of risks,” he said in August, as per The Guardian.
“I can tell you in advance already. Be prepared because it’s going to be this season, trust me. I will enjoy it even more when this season starts.”
Onana has made 10 appearances across all competitions for United this season and the only match that he didn’t play was the 7-0 win over Barnsley in the Carabao Cup.
