Manchester United fans wasted no time making their feelings clear after learning the Red Devils will face Arsenal in their first Premier League match next season.

Ruben Amorim’s men signed off their lacklustre 2024-25 Premier League campaign in May before the Red Devils took part in a two-match post-season tour of Asia.

Manchester United will begin their pre-season campaign in July ahead of the 2025-26 Premier League season at Old Trafford under Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim.

United’s Premier League fixture list was revealed on Wednesday and Amorim’s men have a tough start to the new season, with the Red Devils in action at Old Trafford.

Arsenal will travel to the Theatre of Dreams on 17th August and will face rivals United on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.

Amorim, who arrived at Old Trafford from Sporting CP last November, will be under pressure for United to start off the season strong after a woeful 2024-25 campaign.

A fourth said: “Arsenal at home to start the season, City away and Chelsea at home in the first [five matches], Liverpool away in October. No time for a slow start for United.”

And another X user added: “Manchester United vs Arsenal in the opening fixture. A potential Gyokeres vs [Benjamin] Sesko Derby. Wow, what a [match] to begin the season with!”

“United vs Arsenal to start the season off is epic,” someone else suggested.

An eighth simply wrote: “Manchester United versus Arsenal stands out as a pivotal early fixture.”
