Man Utd fans all absolutely loved what Sergio Reguilon did during the Manchester derby, he adores the club

Manchester United suffered a 3-1 loss to Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

Marcus Rashford fired Manchester United into the lead before the 10-minute mark, but a Phil Foden double and an Erling Haaland strike made sure that Manchester was truly blue for the time being.

It was a depleting defeat for Manchester United on Derby Day. Erik ten Hag‘s side did not exactly play terribly – but City were far superior.

At the end of the day – there was a severe gulf in class between the two squads. United looked particularly disjointed, with Victor Lindelof at left-back epitomising this. United could’ve done with a man who left in January in all honesty.

Manchester United fans loved Sergio Reguilon’s Instagram

That man is Sergio Reguilon – who was actually cheering on the Red Devils from home on Sunday. He took to Instagram to post the following to his story.

Once a red, always a red. Manchester United fans absolutely loved this. They took to X to comment:

A first says: ‘Reguilon was only here on loan for a few months, he’s now at a completely different PL club and he’s still sat cheering us on. What a guy.

A second adds: ‘Such a shame we didn’t keep him for the remainder of the season.’

‘We should have kept this lad’ and ‘Literally would have loved him to stay!’ two more add.

Another states: ‘It’s often those with the shortest time at the club.’

‘Seeing things like this makes you realize how big and influential this club is. After just six months with the club, he’s now on TV watching Yanited,‘ one more adds.

Lots more were all saying the same thing: ‘The fact we let this man leave is mind-blowing to me.’

Manchester United seriously could’ve done with Sergio Reguilon

It’s becoming increasingly more apparent that United should have kept Reguilon until at least the end of the season.

He instead is now at Brentford, where he’s been playing well, whilst United are having to play make-shift players in the left-back role.

Reguilon would have done a job against City. A big mistake from the club in January.
