Manchester United are set to find out opponents for this season’s Champions League group stage draw.
Erik ten Hag will lead Manchester United in the Champions League for the first time, with the Red Devils qualifying after finishing in third place last season.
Manchester United are in ‘pot two’, which means we cannot be drawn against Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, RB Leipzig, FC Porto.

When is the Champions League draw
The Champions League draw will be held at 5pm UK time on Thursday (31/8).
Worst case scenario
Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Real Sociedad
Other tough options from pot one along with Bayern include Barcelona, Napoli, PSG, and the team we just can’t beat, Sevilla.
Lazio are another team to avoid from pot three along with AC Milan, while Union Berlin could be a tricky opponent from pot four along with Real Sociedad.
Best case scenario
Feyenoord, Red Star Belgrade, Lens
A draw with Feyenoord would be a spicy one for former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag, and it is the best option from pot one. Matches against Red Star and Lens are not ‘easy’ but they won’t hold fear for United either.
Other options include Benfica from pot one, while Celtic could be another of the more straightforward ties.
