Erik ten Hag is seemingly under more pressure than ever as Manchester United have lost six of their first 10 games in all competitions.
The former Ajax boss has spent a lot of money this summer in the hopes of Manchester United being involved in a title race, but they are miles away from that happening.
After a damning 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray during matchday 2 of the Champions League group stage, the pressure on the Dutchman is possibly the most it has ever been.
United need a victory from somewhere but that win, which is craved so much, is currently far away from Erik Ten Hag’s grasp.

United’s position on Ten Hag
Following the defeat to the Turkish side, the pressure ramped up on the former Ajax boss tenfold and there have been some calls for the Dutch manager to be sacked.
According to a report from The Guardian, however, the United board fully backs Ten Hag and are willing to stick with the Dutchman for the ‘foreseeable future’.
The club still believes that Ten Hag, who won United’s first trophy since 2017, is the right man to lead the club forward, although whether that is the case remains to be seen.
United need to stick with Ten Hag
The Dutchman certainly deserves the time and perseverance that United are willing to give him and should have enough credit in the bank to be given this season to arrest the club’s alarming slump in form.
What is clear, however, is that results need to change soon otherwise the good faith that Ten Hag has garnered since his appointment 16 months ago will quickly erode.
United take on Brentford at Old Trafford this Sunday before the international break and a win, by any means necessary, is needed otherwise the tension and the grey cloud that is engulfing the club will only continue.
