Manchester United academy star Louie Bradbury has enjoyed a brilliant start to 2026 and it continued with two goals for Wales Under-19s.

There are several exciting academy forwards coming through the ranks at Carrington currently, including household names like JJ Gabriel and Chido Obi.

But Louie Bradbury is ‘unstoppable’ and outscoring Chido in the academy. While his form was at first going under the radar, the 17-year-old is starting to get the attention he deserves.

Bradbury has averaged a goal every 66 minutes in academy football, and he has now taken his sensational form into international duty with Wales.

Louie Bradbury stars for Wales U19s vs Switzerland

On Saturday afternoon, Wales U19s beat Switzerland U19s 2-1 in the Under-19s Championship, and it was Louie Bradbury who scored both goals to claim victory.

Bradbury started as one of two strikers in a 5-3-2 formation for Wales, and he scored twice in the second half to complete a comeback win.

Bradbury is one of 12 United academy players on international duty over the March break, and Red Devils supporters can watch him in action again on Tuesday, 31 March, when Wales U19s take on Hungary U19s.

In late 2024, United in Focus told readers to remember Bradbury’s name, and now the teenage striker is truly living up to his lofty potential.

Louie Bradbury is Man United’s brightest hidden gem

The current crop of youngsters coming through Carrington is truly generational. The ‘Class of ’26’ has a chance to go on and do great things.

Names like Jim Thwaites, JJ Gabriel, Chido Obi and even the younger Kai Rooney have flooded headlines, and so far Bradbury has gone slightly under the radar.

But there are several reasons why Bradbury is just as exciting as a talent, if not more so. Last season, Bradbury scored 41 goals and he is showing no signs of slowing down as he climbs the age groups.

Michael Carrick will be keeping a keen eye, and if Bradbury continues at his current rate of progression then a first-team call-up will not be far away at all.
