One of Manchester United’s summer signings can be considered an absolute bargain given his latest valuation.
This summer, Ineos overhauled Ruben Amorim’s squad with five new arrivals with the transfer cost reaching £230m.
United’s transfer window was impressive, with Ineos also managing to clear out Amorim’s ‘bomb squad’ created over the summer. Only Tyrell Malacia remains on the books at Carrington.
The recruitment at Old Trafford has been poor since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement and studies show that United’s squad value has plummeted compared to what players were signed for.
But perhaps that is starting to change under new ownership…

Over the summer, Bruno Fernandes rejected a £100m move to Saudi Arabia as he felt his job at United was not yet done.
Many would consider the Portuguese playmaker United’s best and most important player – but it seems he is actually not the most valuable.
According to the latest CIES Football Observatory study, United’s most valuable player is actually summer signing Benjamin Sesko.
Sesko was signed for £66m from RB Leipzig, with United fighting off interest from Newcastle United to get a deal over the line this summer.
Now looking back on that deal, it seems Ineos should consider it a bargain as the study claims a “fair price” for the Slovenian is between £90m-£105m.
Considering United nearly signed Sesko for £2.5m in 2019, it shows the striker’s meteoric rise in Europe.

Amorim has made sure to slowly integrate Sesko into the starting XI at United given he had very little pre-season preparation in Germany.
But Sesko is settling in well at Carrington, and Amorim has been impressed by Sesko and his desire to learn and improve. The signs have been positive, even if he hasn’t truly had a chance to shine on the pitch so far.
Recently, Sesko starred for Slovenia against Sweden, so hopefully, United’s new star striker will return to England fit and ready to feature in the upcoming Manchester derby.
At just 22 years old, Sesko has a big future ahead of him at United, and he is already being billed as the club’s most valuable player.
Once he gets up to speed and can build some form, United will only improve.
