Bruno Fernandes has given his true feelings about the impact that Cristiano Ronaldo has made in his career.
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, who was named as the captain of the club this summer, has given his thoughts on the Red Devils’ former striker.
After a fiery interview with Piers Morgan, Cristiano Ronaldo ended his stay at United after discussing everything from Erik ten Hag to the facilities at the club.
This led to the club and player coming to a mutual agreement that his contract with the club would be terminated. As a result, Ronaldo joined Saudi side Al-Nassr.

You might expect that his exit from the club, which was a controversial one at the time, would leave a sour taste in the mouth of one of United’s best players.
However, Fernandes, speaking to Portuguese outlet Portugoal after his superb performance, was full of praise for the iconic forward.
“Do I have the notion that I’m playing alongside a history maker? No, I don’t have a notion, I have the certainty! We’re all aware of it,” Fernandes glowingly said about the 38-year-old.
“We all understand the force and impact that Ronaldo has, the force and the impact that Ronaldo has had on the future of many of us Portuguese players, the opportunities that he’s created for the future generations of players, the way others began to look at Portugal.
“He’s done extraordinary things that will probably never be repeated. We hope they are, for the good of football, but I think it’s unlikely.”
Ronaldo’s United impact
The Portuguese forward decided to rejoin United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and, despite the club struggling, Ronaldo was the the club’s best player.
Ten Hag, however, wanted to evolve the side and move on from playing Ronaldo. This eventually led to the United legend moving on from the club.
Ronaldo’s legacy remains intact at Old Trafford and it is clear to see that the players who shared the pitch with the forward were fond of him.
