Manchester City star Jeremy Doku has trolled Red Devils winger Antony on social media after Manchester United’s devastating 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Antony, who came off the bench for United, was fortunate to escape a red card after he appeared to deliberately foul Doku in the dying stages of the Manchester derby.
The 23-year-old Brazilian winger failed to retrieve the ball from Doku in his initial challenge before Antony swung his leg out for a follow-up tackle on the City player.
Antony and Doku were subsequently involved in a heated confrontation and appeared to engage in a war of words as things quickly escalated on the pitch.
Following a VAR check, Antony avoided a red card and received a yellow from referee Paul Tierney, with City awarded a free-kick for the United star’s challenge.
Antony was dropped to the bench for the Manchester derby, with Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville even questioning the ex-Ajax star’s body language as a substitute.

Doku takes aim at Antony in social media dig
Erling Haaland fired City into a first-half lead from the spot-kick after a controversial VAR call ruled that United striker Rasmus Hojlund had fouled midfielder Rodri.
The 23-year-old Norwegian striker, who was once a United target, doubled his side’s lead four minutes into the second half before Phil Foden scored City’s third.
Following City’s derby win over United, Doku took to social media and rubbed salt in the wounds even further with a not-so-subtle dig at Antony.
The 21-year-old Belgian winger posted a photo from his exchange with Antony, with Doku simply adding a “stay calm” message and a massage emoji next to it.
Doku, who arrived at City in the summer from Rennes in a £55.5m deal, added another message of “Manchester is blue” alongside a blue heart emoji.
Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, he wrote: “Stay calm… Manchester is blue.”
City defeat big blow for United
United manager Erik ten Hag was dealt a massive blow after the Red Devils were outplayed and outclassed by Pep Guardiola’s dominant City side at Old Trafford.
Following United’s win against FC Copenhagen in the Champions League last week, fans were hopeful that their side could build important momentum for the derby.
However, Ten Hag was left further frustrated with his side’s woes this season, with crosstown rivals City securing the ultimate bragging rights on this occasion.
United are currently eighth in the Premier League table and are eight points adrift from the top four, with Ten Hag’s men winning five matches and losing five so far.
The Red Devils will now resume their Carabao Cup title defence when they host Newcastle for their round-of-16 clash at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
