Erik ten Hag is busy working and preparing for Manchester United’s first game of the season this weekend.
The former Ajax boss has three new signings in his squad, and while Gary Neville believes he has not been backed properly, Ten Hag is busy working with what he has.
One of the new signings in contention to start the fixture is Tyrell Malacia, who is battling Luke Shaw for the left-back spot.
He says the players are enjoying working under the new manager, and are big fans of the Dutchman’s hands-on approach.

Erik ten Hag is very involved
Malacia, a summer signing from Feyenoord, says United’s players are enjoying the daily training sessions run by Ten Hag and his coaching staff.
The 22-year-old told the club website: “From the first moment I spoke with him on the phone it felt good and now that I’m here it’s even better.
“The manager is very involved in training and everyone likes that a lot and we are enjoying it.
“We can all learn a lot from him and it’s good for us all. I just try to play the football I did at my former club and I just want to keep developing. I’m really happy that I can bring my input here.”
This is a contrast with former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was more hands-off and delegated the actual coaching to his assistants.
Ten Hag likes to closely manage every little detail of training and this thorough approach appears to be rubbing off well on the players.
Malacia added that he was happy with his own pre-season displays but knows he can still get better.
He said: “It was great to play in pre-season, for me my performances were quite good, but there is always room for improvement and I am talking a lot with the coaches who are helping me a lot.”
