Luke Shaw has probably endured his hardest season ever as a Manchester United player. Injuries have simply ruined him, but now he’s heading to Euro 2024 with England.
Shaw has been given a lifeline following the conclusion of Manchester United’s season. He is included in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad.
It would come as no surprise, hadn’t it been for his ridiculous injury record which saw him miss the majority of the 23/24 campaign.
Nevertheless, he is now training with England and looks likely to feature in Germany at least at some stage. He’ll be facing off with some of Europe’s best. One of which he included in his ‘perfect footballer’.

Luke Shaw builds ‘perfect footballer’
Ahead of the Euro 2024 tournament, Shaw sat down with GOAL to discuss his ‘perfect footballer’. This was based on six categories, made up of current footballers. The categories were: Left foot, right foot, speed, strength, passing, skill and football IQ.
As Shaw headed down the list of categories, he was ridiculously speedy with his answers. The left foot was first, to which he answered a man always linked with a move to Old Trafford, Gareth Bale.
He then was tasked with a right-footed player, to which he recalled his teammate who infamously left halfway through Erik ten Hag’s first-season reign as Manchester United manager – Cristiano Ronaldo.
We can’t say we disagree, you’ll struggle to find a better right peg in world football than that of Cristiano’s.
