Marcus Rashford has shocked the football world by signing for Aston Villa on loan.
After reaching of point of no return under Ruben Amorim, Marcus Rashford has had to find a new club for the remainder of the season.
Amorim only wants to work with players who are committed to the cause and something must have happened with Rashford previously for everything to turn pear-shaped.
The 27-year-old has endured a difficult time at Old Trafford and United decided not to step in his way by allowing a loan move across the Premier League to the Champions League with Unai Emery’s side.
Rashford has been overlooked in United’s first team since Amorim took over the helm.
Now, the England international will be looking to repay Emery’s faith on the pitch.

Luke Shaw and Bruno Fernandes respond to Marcus Rashford exit
Rashford made his last appearance for the club in the Europa League win over Viktoria Plzen.
It doesn’t sound like he will ever play for United again, which in that case means he needs to find a permanent option for when his Villa deal expires in the summer.
In a post on Instagram, Rashford said: “I would like to thank Manchester United and Aston Villa for making this loan deal happen.
“I was lucky to have a few clubs approach me but Aston Villa was an easy decision – I really admire the way that Aston Villa have been playing this season, and the manager’s ambitions. I just want to play football and am excited to get started.
“I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season.”
It did not take long for United players to react to the news. Bruno Fernandes and Leny Yoro were quick to like Rashford’s post on Instagram, while comments flew in from elsewhere.
Fellow England international Luke Shaw wrote: “Good luck my bro”
Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee both commented on the post, with the Dutchman writing: “My bro.”
Antony wrote: “All the best brother”.
A blast from the past by the name Ravel Morrison also dropped a comment which read: “Let’s go my boy time to show everyone.”
Other comments came from Aaron Wan-Bissaka, David de Gea and Ethan Wheatley.
Aston Villa took advantage of Marcus Rashford situation
It is arguably the biggest shock of the January transfer window. Nobody thought Rashford would be turning out of Villa, but here we are due to a shortage of interest across the continent.
Emery said goodbye to forward players of his own but appears to have played his cards right to get a deal for Rashford.
It remains to be seen if Emery can get the best out of Rashford, but United fans will be watching closely to see if his form proves between now and the end of the campaign.
Rashford has 7 goals and 3 assists across all competitions this season. He has played 24 games in that time.
Only time will tell if Villa are one of the winners from the January transfer window.
