Lou Macari has backed Marcus Rashford to win the Manchester United player of the month award for March.
Marcus Rashford is part of a three-man shortlist for the player of the month award, along with Lisandro Martinez and Bruno Fernandes.
Rashford won the award for the past three months, December, January and February. Now he is looking to make it four in a row.
Rashford is United’s top scorer with a personal best 27 goals this season so far.

Rashford backed for four in a row
Marcus Rashford scored in two of Manchester United’s six games in March, netting home and away in Europa League ties against Real Betis.
March has been a shortened month due to the international break, which also began with a horrific loss to Liverpool.
United since bounced back to draw one and win four of the following five matches in all competitions.
Speaking to MUTV’s The Debate, former star Lou Macari says Rashford should be the clear winner.
He said: “I’m not sure I’m watching the same player as a couple of seasons ago. Whatever the reason is, his form has been brilliant. It’s got to be Marcus Rashford for me.”
Bruno Fernandes and Lisandro Martinez both have strong cases too, while Rashford’s form actually dipped a little bit below the high levels he set the last two months.
The award will be announced on Thursday afternoon. Rashford has spent the past fortnight resting up after pulling out of the England squad, aiming to hit the ground running for a strong April, when United face Newcastle.
