The first group of Manchester United players have returned to pre-season training to begin preparations for the 2023/24 season.

The Manchester United players who did not feature in the recent international break have returned to Carrington to begin pre-season.

Here is a list of the first team players who have returned…

Dean Henderson, Tom Heaton, Lisandro Martinez, Donny van de Beek, Fred, Antony, Mason Mount, Raphael Varane, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho and Brandon Williams.

Also present were returning loanees, Amad, Alvaro Fernandez, Will Fish , Hannibal, Matej Kovar , Charlie Savage and Shola Shoretire. Youngster Rhys Bennett was also spotted amongst the group.

Lisandro Martinez shows off new look

Centre-back Lisandro Martinez’s return was particularly welcome after his return from a metatarsal injury. He is now fully fit.

Martinez has a golden blonde tint to his hair and is looking particularly tanned from his holiday in Ibiza.

Best of all, the Argentina international looks in great spirits and thrilled to be back.

More players will filter back to Manchester United in the coming days as the team prepare for a match against Leeds in Norway next week.

Brazilian duo Fred and Antony could play a role, although there are questions over the formers’ future right now amid speculation via The Telegraph he may be sold, with United ready to listen to offers.

Regardless he looked in good spirits too, and determined to make the most of every moment he has left as a Manchester United player.
