Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has offered an injury update ahead of Saturday’s clash with Brighton.

Manchester United take on Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday, looking to get the season back on track, after an indifferent start to the campaign.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Erik ten Hag was asked about the availability of key players.

Defender Lisandro Martinez was on the agenda, amid questions over his fitness.

Lisandro Martinez update

BBC Sport’s Simon Stone reports Lisandro Martinez will be fit, along with Victor Lindelof.

At his press conference, Erik ten Hag responded simply ‘Yes’, when asked if Martinez is available to play.

Martinez’s fitness is an important boost. Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans are United’s back-up centre-backs.

Stone added that it is too soon for Mason Mount to make his return.

Martinez missed Argentina games

Lisandro Martinez could not complete Manchester United’s game against Arsenal after suffering a knock.

He did travel to Argentina for their World Cup qualifiers, however, he did not play a single minute and was not even on the bench for either game.

United are already missing Raphael Varane, who went off with an injury during the victory over Nottingham Forest.

Sofyan Amrabat is hoping to make his debut for Manchester United. The Daily Mail had reported he trained at Carrington earlier this week.
