Liam Rosenior has been at loggerheads with Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández after suspending the Argentine midfielder for two matches. There is still some doubt over whether the World Cup-winner will return to face Manchester United next week.
Luckily, at Manchester United, there hasn’t been any drama in the dressing room since Michael Carrick was appointed interim head coach.
Everyone is behind Carrick and working towards securing Champions League qualification.
In previous years, some players couldn’t help but bring drama to the table, which is why most United fans haven’t lost any sleep over selling Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea last summer.

United are concerned Adam Wharton is too similar to Kobbie Mainoo – is this a good reason to back away from a deal?
Or are two Kobbie Mainoo types actually smart to have…?
Liam Rosenior undecided about Enzo Fernandez’s availability against Man Utd
Chelsea star Fernandez is serving a suspension after an interview surfaced in which he expressed a desire to live in the Spanish capital, amid links to Real Madrid.
The highly rated midfielder was left out of Chelsea’s 7-0 hammering of Port Vale in the FA Cup as a result of the suspension.
With Rosenior confirming that Fernandez will not be available this weekend when Chelsea host Premier League title contenders Man City, reporters were keen to find out whether the former Benfica star will be available to face United next Saturday.
Rosenior told Kieran Gill, a journalist present at Friday’s press conference, that Fernandez still had some hurdles to jump before returning to the matchday squad.
“There are still things that need to be cleared before I make a clear statement on the situation,” Rosenior said.
When asked whether he could still be prevented from facing United, Rosenior replied: “Not in this moment.”
Carrick will be giving his United players the same instructions regardless of Fernandez’s availability.
United fans will hope that Fernandez’s head is turned if he does make a return for next week’s match. It will be interesting to see how Chelsea cope without him against City.

Enzo Fernandez’s record against Man Utd
Since moving his career to England in 2023, Fernandez has played against United six times.
Fernandez was victorious on two occasions, drawing as many times, but he was on the receiving end of defeat in three matches.
That means Fernandez doesn’t have the best of records against United. On top of that, he has received three yellow cards in clashes with the Red Devils.
It remains to be seen if Fernandez will face United for a seventh time before a summer of uncertainty amid constant transfer speculation over his future.
