Manchester United have confirmed the travelling squad for the pre-season friendly against Rangers and it includes new signing Lenny Yoro.

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are preparing for a busy season and are set to face Rangers on Saturday afternoon.

Earlier this week, the Red Devils kicked off their pre-season campaign with a defeat to Rosenborg.

United had a multitude of academy players in their starting team and were beaten 1-0 by the Norwegian side, who are midway through their season.

Next up is Rangers before the club begins their pre-season tour of America next week and fans could get the first glimpse of new arrival Leny Yoro.

United confirm travelling squad vs Rangers

There had been some question marks over whether certain first-team players would make the travelling squad for the game against the Scottish side.

Marcus Rashford, Victor Lindelof, Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire and Antony have not made the trip to Edinburgh but Amad, Jadon Sancho and Andre Onana have all returned.

New signing Leny Yoro has also been included and could make his debut.

The full squad is: Mee, Onana, Vitek, Aljofree, Amass, Bennett, Evans, Jackson, Fish, Murrary, Ogunneye, Oyedele, Wan-Bissaka, Yoro, Casemiro, Collyer, Fletcher, Hannibal, Mather, Mount, Scanlon, Amad, Ennis, Hugill, Sancho, Wheatley.

Vitek and Collyer could be players to watch out for United again

During the friendly against Rosenberg, United’s academy needed to be relied upon and in goalkeeper Radek Vitek, they certainly had that.

Vitek has been compared to Peter Schmeichel and it’s easy to see why after his man-of-the-match performance in pre-season. Though Onana’s return might mean he doesn’t get a chance on Saturday.

As for Toby Collyer, the English midfielder came on for the second half against Rosenberg and certainly looked promising, similar to how Kobbie Mainoo broke through into the first team.

The pair will be given more opportunities to impress during pre-season as they bid to show why they should be the next academy products to follow in the footsteps of Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.
