Leny Yoro reveals why he had to wear gold sparkly suit at Carrington

Leny Yoro’s recent choice of outfit at Carrington prompted questioning from a former Manchester United defender.

After making nine appearances for Manchester United, Leny Yoro is having a solid second campaign, featuring regularly in Ruben Amorim’s back three.

Yoro started in United’s 4-2 win over Brighton and did well to limit Yankuba Minteh’s threat down his side.

The victory saw United’s win streak extend to three Premier League matches for the first time under Amorim.

United are looking to make it four wins on the bounce when they travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday. It remains to be seen if Harry Maguire will return to the line-up or if Amorim will stick with Yoro in his back three alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw.

Yoro, 19, is still developing his game, but his popularity is constantly on the rise at Old Trafford. Now the outfits he wears at Carrington are attracting attention on social media.

Luckily, the fashion police weren’t at Carrington when Yoro rocked up in a gold sparkly suit.

The photo emerged when Shaw shared a series of photos with the caption ‘life’, showing images with his family, Matheus Cunha and Yoro.

Former United defender Rio Ferdinand wasted no time asking Yoro to ‘explain’ his outfit choice, before the French centre-back revealed that he wore it after losing a crossbar challenge.

The gold sparkly suit jacket is accompanied by white floral pants, which look equally ridiculous, but at least it was all done as part of a prank.

It shows that the mood within the United first-team is high, which should be the case after winning three consecutive matches.

Bruno Fernandes also replied to Shaw’s post, tagging Yoro, writing: ‘Noooooo’.

Yoro and his teammates can build on that by beating Forest at the City Ground.
