Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters is on Manchester United’s radar, report The Athletic.
The Saints are aware of interest in the right-back and are monitoring several players who could succeed the 25-year-old.
One of these is United defender Brandon Williams, who can play both full-back positions even though he is more widely regarded as a left-back.
Southampton signed Walker-Peters on a permanent basis from Tottenham in 2020, who have a buy-back clause option.

Walker-Peters is on Manchester United radar
United’s right-back situation is very much in flux. Neither Aaron Wan-Bissaka or Diogo Dalot have a firm hold on the position.
Wan-Bissaka went back last season, and while Dalot made progress, it wasn’t anywhere near enough.
Ethan Laird is the wildcard option who could impress on tour, but he’s just as likely to end up being shifted out on loan as he is to secure a first team place.
Walker-Peters is an intriguing option. He was part of England’s under-20 World Cup winning squad in 2017, and has bounced back from a challenging experience at Tottenham to become a regular starter with Southampton.
Last season he made 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing three assists.

He made his senior debut for England earlier this year and has an outside chance to go to the World Cup.
The Athletic report that while Southampton have him under contract to 2025, they have not made any progress over a fresh deal, and are aware of interest in him, so they are beginning to consider their options.
United’s reported interest comes as a little of a surprise, but the right-back situation certainly needs to be resolved.
If Ten Hag comes back from the pre-season tour unimpressed by his options, a move for a new right-back could become possible later this summer, and Walker-Peters is a name to bear in mind.
