Kobbie Mainoo showed his class with a lovely gesture to a fan who has early-onset frontotemporal dementia ahead of England’s World Cup semi-final clash against Argentina.
Thomas Tuchel’s England side are among the 2026 World Cup semi-finalists.
That means United will definitely have a player in the final because Lisandro Martinez will be representing Argentina. At the same time, Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo will be eager to feature in the match for England.
Tuesday night’s semi-final saw Spain overcome favourites France with a convincing 2-0 victory, but now all eyes are on England and Argentina, which is easily one of the fiercest rivalries in modern football.

Kobbie Mainoo helps England fan ahead of World Cup semi-final
England may have reached the semi-finals of the World Cup, but it’s not been the greatest of experiences for Mainoo.
The United academy graduate may be 21 but is not a rookie on the international stage, having played in a European Championship final defeat against Spain in 2024.
Still, Tuchel has not given Mainoo a single minute on the pitch. He’s the only midfielder in the England squad who has yet to make an appearance at the tournament.
The English midfielder is not letting that get him down completely, though, as he has reached out to a fan in need.
Jordan Adams, who suffers from early-onset frontotemporal dementia, set himself a challenge of sourcing a ticket for England’s semi-final against Argentina in 32 hours.
Jordan boarded a flight to Atlanta and shared a message on social media about not wanting to die in his 40s with regrets.
After stumbling across Jordan’s video on Instagram, Mainoo commented: “I’ve got you brother.”
Since then, Jordan provided an update after arriving in Atlanta, explaining that Mainoo reached out after arranging a ticket to the semi-final.
Mainoo’s message to Jordan read: “Hey bro, hope you’re good! Please can you send me the email linked to your FIFA ticket app and I’ll get a ticket sent over to you.”
Moreover, Jordan confirmed that FIFA have been in touch to offer him access as a special guest at the match.

Kobbie Mainoo is a model professional
It’s worth noting that Mainoo’s character was tested at United under Ruben Amorim.
The 21-year-old passed the test with flying colours by biding his time until Michael Carrick’s arrival in January. That led to Mainoo earning a place in the line-up again.
All of these experiences will help Mainoo grow and become stronger, but nobody can criticise the way he has handled things, even if fans disagreed with his brother’s decision to wear a ‘free Mainoo’ t-shirt at Old Trafford last season.
Mainoo is a model professional, and he has a head coach at United who can get the best out of him.
