Former Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga scored the winning goal against Chelsea as his good start in a Nottingham Forest shirt continues.
The winger joined Steve Cooper’s Forest side for a fee in the region of £15 million and has started well this season at the East Midland side.
After an assist against Arsenal in the 2-1 defeat to the Gunners, Elanga has now scored for Cooper’s side and seems to be settling in well at the City Ground.
There have been calls from United fans that the decision to sell Elanga was a mistake and the winger has received praise from his former United teammate, Kobbie Mainoo.

Kobbie Mainoo response
The United midfielder, who is currently out injured at the moment although he could be set to return sooner than anticipated, has commented on the forward’s post celebrating the victory.
Elanga posted on his Instagram account: “Great day in the capital! Enjoy your weekend Reds.” Mainoo commented on that post and simply replied: “Heating up.”

The pair were good friends at United and the midfielder was keen to give praise to the Swedish winger who has excelled since his move away from Old Trafford last month.

Was Elanga right to move on
There have been murmurings of discontent on social media about United making the wrong decision selling the forward and at a relatively low cost considering the ability he has.
But, United have made the right decision selling the forward. It was hard to see just where Elanga would have fit in, had he stayed at the club.
With Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford on the left-hand side for United, Elanga, who is certainly more comfortable off the left than he is on the right, would not have got much game time ahead of the pair which was seemingly evident during last season, as the Swedish winger started just five Premier League games last season.
