Over the past few years, Kobbie Mainoo has had plenty of ups and downs, yet right now, he looks better than ever and among the first names on the Manchester United teamsheet.
Five months ago, he was on the edge of departing the club, but Mainoo is now locked in on a long-term contract, which should see him play for the club well into his prime.
Mainoo is often hailed by teammates for his brilliance on the pitch. But now he’s been asked to pick the best players he has played alongside.

Kobbie Mainoo names his dream five-a-side from Manchester United teammates
In a celebration of his new deal, Mainoo has appeared on the Inside Carrington podcast to discuss his career so far.
At one point, Helen Evans asked Mainoo to name his dream five-a-side team from teammates past and present.
“I’d say in net, I’d say Senne in net”, Mainoo explained, before being advised he can put an outfield player in goal.
“I’d actually put Rashy in there then, he’s having himself in net.
“Then I’ll go Casemiro at the back, with me. Bruno and for five aside I’d go Amad.
“Senne on the bench.”

Mainoo would surely love Marcus Rashford comeback for United
Mainoo making sure he included Rashford in the team by any means is a glowing indication of how highly he regards one of his idols.
During the same interview, Mainoo recalled Rashford helping him as a youngster, with his comments highlighting how the forward is seen by academy players.
Like Mainoo, Rashford was actively targeted by Ruben Amorim and has spent this season at Barcelona on loan.
However, this might not be the end with Mainoo’s resurgence under Carrick potentially replicable for Rashford.
Mainoo would certainly be for his return.
