Newcastle United right-back Kieran Tripper has reacted to Marcus Rashford’s performance for Manchester United against Wolves.
Marcus Rashford netted a superb opener for Manchester United after a layoff from Rasmus Hojlund saw the English winger rifle it into the top corner leaving Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa with no chance.
The Englishman has been receiving widespread criticism over the last few days due to his alleged antics in Belfast which led to the 26-year-old being dropped from the squad against Newport in the FA Cup.
However, the issue was resolved and the Englishman was restored to the starting lineup for the game against Gary O’Neil’s side and he impressed massively.

Trippier’s reaction
Writing on Rashford’s Instagram, Kieran Trippier, who was heavily linked with a move to United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a deal on the cards before the Red Devils backed away from a move, commented three clapping emojis as a tribute to Rashford’s performance.

He has since gone on to move to Eddie Howe’s Newcastle and has been a revelation for the Geordie side as they have made a remarkable climb up the league into the Champions League spots.
It’s fair to say Rashford looks to have finally found his feat this season for the Red Devils and it is now hoped he can put the debacle of last week behind him and find his best form for the club.
Rashford netted 30 goals in all competitions last season, including the winner against Manchester City at Old Trafford and the clinching second goal against Howe’s side in the Carabao Cup final with Trippier as the right-back on that occasion.
Rashford back to his best
If United can get Rashford back to the levels he was performing at last season, then Champions League football may well not be beyond the realms of possibility.
Under Ten Hag, the attack has struggled hugely for form with not one of their attacking players breaking the 10-goal barrier yet this campaign.
With Rashford back to his best, perhaps this season won’t be a write-off after all.
