Manchester United have received a boost ahead of their weekend clash against Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are in fine form in the Premier League this season and they look to be back in the title race following last year’s disastrous season where they finished outside of the Champions League spots.
The Merseyside club are now back to being their best in the league after a brilliant transfer window in the summer and are now, once again, miles ahead of the Old Trafford club.
Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are in dismal form with 11 defeats in all competitions and are coming into the game off the back of a 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

Liverpool set to miss key man
According to a post on X from Argentine journalist Gaston Edul, Alexis Mac Allister will miss the game at Anfield as well as the next few weeks of fixtures for the Reds.
The former Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder reportedly has a ‘bad’ bruise on his knee but Mac Allister has not suffered any ligament damage but will miss the next few matches for the Merseyside club.
The Argentine scored a stunning goal against Fulham to open his account for Klopp’s side but the midfielder has not made the impact at the club that the fans might have hoped for.
Nevertheless, he would be a big miss in the middle of the park for the Anfield club and the hope is that the Red Devils can take advantage of this.
United’s chances
Some may believe the Red Devils have minimal chances in the game against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, United haven’t won at Anfield since a Wayne Rooney goal in 2016 gave the Red Devils a 1-0 win.
United, though, have to believe they can get a result at Anfield otherwise, the Red Devils may be in for a hammering against a side who will be smelling blood against Ten Hag’s men.
A win at Anfield on the weekend would do wonders for the Red Devils’ confidence in the league but that will certainly be a tough ask against Klopp’s men.
