Roy Keane and Gary Neville predict the Manchester derby result, they expect goals – but not for United

The Manchester derby looms over Manchester United now after the FA Cup victory against Nottingham Forest.

Erik ten Hag faces a tall task going to the Etihad on Sunday. Not only are Pep Guardiola’s side in red-hot form, but Manchester United have a sea of injuries in the first-team squad.

The likes of Rasmus Hojund, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw and many more all won’t be available – which will mean it will be a seriously tall order against the Cityzen’s.

Roy Keane and Gary Neville are not hopeful for the upcoming Premier League fixture.

Roy Keane and Gary Neville predict a Manchester City win

The legendary Manchester United duo sat down on The Overlap podcast to predict the Manchester derby result at the weekend. Both predicted Guadiola’s side would claim all three points, convincingly.

Both agree that Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and co will stick three past the Red Devils. Jamie Carragher also said the same thing – but reckons it’ll be at least three, minimum.

“It’s impossible for City to score less than three. You just can’t not score three in that game,” the former Liverpool man states.

United in Focus Predict the Manchester Derby

We have to say – we’re not confident heading into the all-important clash. With Manchester City in a title chase, every game is a must-win, and they’ll show no mercy against their city’s compatriots.

We also can’t see United scoring. Without Hojlund up top, United have a severe lack of goal threat. City are tough to score past anyway – but with no out-and-out striker? Chances will be few and far between.

We agree with Neville on this one. Manchester City 3 – 0 Manchester United.
