Brazilian legends Kaka and Rivaldo have reacted to Casemiro‘s performance against South Korea which saw the Selecao cruise to the World Cup quarter-finals.

Tite’s star-studded side were 4-0 up at half-time against South Korea last night before going on to advance to the last-eight with a 4-1 in.

The five-time World Cup winners will play Croatia, who were beaten by France in the final in Russia four-and-a-half years ago, for a spot in the last-four.

The clash against Croatia, which will take place on Saturday, will see Casemiro come up against his former Real Madrid teammate Luka Modric.

Manchester United’s number 18 is still yet to lose a World Cup match.

The 30-year-old was rested for Friday night’s 1-0 defeat to Cameroon and he was suspended for his nation’s 2-1 defeat to Belgium in the quarter-finals in Russia after picking up two bookings prior to the last-eight clash.

But the five-time Champions League winner isn’t going to suffer a repeat of what happened in Russia – the former Los Blancos ace is yet to pick up a booking in Qatar, and if he remains fit and available alongside Neymar – the Selecao will fancy their chances of winning their first World Cup in 20 years.

Kaka, who was part of the phenomenal Brazil side that last lifted the World Cup in Japan/South Korea, reserved a special mention for Casemiro after the win against the East Asia nation.

Alongside a picture of Casemiro’s Instagram post, the 2007 Ballon d’Or winner wrote on his Instagram story: “So beautiful to see!!! Proud of you.”

Kaka wasn’t the only member of Brazil’s 2002 World Cup winning side to give the seal of approval on Casemiro’s latest performance.

Fellow Brazilian icon Rivaldo also reacted to Casemiro’s Instagram post.

Casemiro made four tackles against Korea, which was more than any other Brazil player, and finished the match with 86 touches – only Thiago Silva had more (92).
