Brazil legend Kaka admires Matheus Cunha
United fans will be paying close attention to Brazil this summer.
Cunha is aiming to play a key role, while there may be a chance for Ederson to feature and give us all a glimpse of what to expect when the 26-year-old arrives at Old Trafford.
It will be a maiden World Cup for both stars, meaning they will be leaning on teammates like Casemiro for experience.
Speaking to former United and England defender Rio Ferdinand, World Cup-winner Kaka was asked what he likes about Cunha.
“For me, it’s how he understands the game now,” Kaka told Rio Ferdinand Presents.
“He’s working really hard tactically. Sometimes he does the work, the dirty work, to help the defenders and the defensive system. Also, he can use his creativity.
“He can bring his Brazilian style to improve and do something really different during the game. The way that he understands that he needs to work hard for the team, I think that’s it.”
In his debut season at United, Cunha scored 10 goals and registered four assists after making 35 appearances.
